Community Partners

United Way Queensland is committed to supporting community partners who have the greatest need and can provide the greatest impact. We do this by ensuring that:

  • At least 90 cents in every dollar is distributed
  • All donations support approved health and welfare programs
  • Community organisations are assessed according to established criteria
  • Volunteering projects have tangible outcomes for both the community organisation and the corporate partner

United Way Queensland distributes funds to community agencies with projects that fall within the four major causes to which United Way is committed :

Ensuring families, children, and youth enjoy loving and secure environments to learn and develop to their full potential

Allowing our aging family, friends, and neighbours to enjoy physical, emotional, and mental well-being and healthy lifestyles.

Ensuring that people have access to resources, shelter, support and counselling that enable them to meet immediate and basic needs.

Providing all people with the opportunity to become independent and self sufficient and participate as accepted members of the community.
