The kids at Glebe Centipede
Glebe Centipede Child Care
The children at the Glebe Centipede Child Care Centre were struggling to reach their full potential because they were not receiving adequate food and nutrition, turning up to school without breakfast or lunch money.
By funding the Nutrition Program, 500 meals per week were provided for up to 110 young children.
With the benefit of regular meals, the children’s general health has improved markedly, they are attending school more regularly, their attention at school has also improved and they are beginning to prepare meals at home. As a result, the children’s educational outcomes have improved and they have much better prospects as they move on to high school.
